WHY TRAIN BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU?

WHAT WILL MY FIRST CLASS LOOK LIKE?

After signing up, Coach Arthur will meet with you before your first Fundamentals class. You’ll learn the basics—BJJ history, bowing onto the mat, and key positions—before joining the class for warm-ups and drilling with a partner. No experience? No problem. Coach Arthur will guide you every step of the way!

IS JIU JITSU SAFE?

Yes! Your safety is our priority. Our structured curriculum ensures controlled training, especially for beginners. With expert instructors and a strong culture of respect, you’ll learn Jiu-Jitsu in a safe, supportive environment while improving your fitness and confidence.

DO I HAVE TO ENTER INTO COMPETITIONS?

Not at all! Competing is encouraged, but never required at Dynamite—your training is at your own pace. Some students train purely for self-defense, fitness, or personal growth, while others enjoy testing their skills in competition. Whatever your goals, we’re here to support you.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO MY FIRST JIU JITSU CLASS?

For your first class, just bring comfortable athletic clothing. Avoid clothing with zippers, and bring a water bottle. Once you sign up, you’ll get your own Gi to train in. Come ready to learn, train, and have fun!
